  • Internal Vetmed Science Awards for Anna Orlova

    Anna Orlova from our Moriggl Lab was not only awarded with one but two annual Vetmeduni science awards 2020 in the category “below 35”.

    Anna was successful in both existing categories:

    • Most cited scientist in the non-clinical area
    • Most successful scientist in receiving third-party grants in the non-clinical area

    We, the Orlova Group Inhibitor Team, have used the Covid-19 times productively. Testing new compounds for STAT5 inhibition, we have done over 300 cytotox assays together in shift work.

  • Heidi Neubauer is selected for the “VetWoman” Program

    We are proud to announce that Dr. Heidi Neubauer was chosen to be 1 out of 10 participants in the “VetWoman” Female Career Development Program 2020. In this initiative, founded this year by the Vetmed University, talented early-career female researchers are trained and coached in leadership and management skills for a duration of 18-months.

    Heidi and the other 9 selected candidates were each assigned their own individual coach to support them through the 18-month program. Additionally, training seminars, events, workshops and networking will be part of the initiative.
