I completed my bachelor’s studies in food- and biotechnologies at the University of Life Sciences in Vienna before switching to molecular biology for my master’s studies at the University of Vienna. For my PhD studies I am focusing on the JAK-STAT pathway in myeloproliferative neoplasms and  am particularly interested in its role in thrombosis in these diseases. To give my brain a break from all the hard work it’s doing in the lab I like to go bouldering, to bake or to participate in boogie woogie dancing competitions.

I studied Immunology at the University of Glasgow, and worked on therapeutic targeting of the BCL-2 apoptotic pathway in Acute Myeloid Leukaemia for my masters project in Paul O’ Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre (Glasgow). For my PhD, I am excited to be investigating disease mechanisms of the STAT5B oncogenic mutation in γδ T cell lymphoma. I enjoy playing sports, in particular Ultimate Frisbee and Touch Rugby, during my free time.

After finishing my master’s degree in Comparative Biomedicine at the Vetmed in Vienna, I have made the decision to continue with my PhD studies. Originally I am from Vorarlberg where skiing and hiking are my favorite activities in my free time. I am really happy to be part of the Neubauer lab and excited about all the new things I am able to experience.

I joined the Neubauer lab in 2021 as a lab manager after studying molecular biology at the University of Vienna. In 2025, I started a PhD exploring the cross-talk between the immune microenvironment and malignant T cells in T-cell lymphoma. I like to eat homemade pasta, travel and be creative.

I have worked with Heidi Neubauer as a histology technician since 2017 and I am solely responsible for all histology activities. I learn something new everyday; technical and not technical. I love to work with everyone in our team.
